Written on: August 23rd, 2019 in US 301 Project Updates , US301 Monday, August 26, 2019, through Thursday, August 29, 2019 – Dayshift Motorists should expect a single right lane or left lane closure on SR 1 southbound from SR 72 to the Roth Bridge from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for overhead sign foundation work. Motorists should expect a right lane closure on US 13 southbound from Lorewood Grove Road to Port Penn Road from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for hot mix patching in front of newly constructed barrier wall. Detours and Roadway Closures The new US 301 alignment was opened to traffic and tolling on January 10, 2019 from the Maryland State Line to SR 1 in both directions including exits at Jamison Corner Road, the Connector Road to Summit Bridge Road, and Levels Road. The Stadium/Bus lot and secondary driveway at St. Georges High School is closed to all traffic until further notice except during morning drop off and school dismissal times Monday through Friday. All other vehicles entering/exiting at any other time should use the main entrance to the high school. Hyetts Corner Road is closed to traffic between the St. Georges High School and Windsor Commons Way. Motorists traveling westbound on Hyetts Corner Road should follow Jamison Corner Road through the roundabout and continue to Boyds Corner Road (SR 896) and turn left, follow Boyds Corner Road (SR 896) to US 13 and turn left, and back to Hyetts Corner Road. Motorists traveling eastbound on Hyetts Corner Road should turn right at US 13, follow US 13 to Boyds Corner Road (SR 896) and turn right, follow Boyds Corner Road to Jamison Corner Road and turn right, follow Jamison Corner road through the roundabout and back to Hyetts Corner Road.
